Class Cancellation Policy:
For Traditional Classes: There are a lot of logistics that go into a sailing class. When you book, we schedule boats, classroom space, and instructors / captains for the class. If something comes up and you cannot attend your class, we will make every effort to reschedule your class to a later date, at no additional charge, if you notify us at least 30 days in advance. If you must cancel, we will refund your deposit and / or tuition, less our cost of any materials you have received or charges incurred by us specific to your enrollment, up to 45 days before the scheduled class date. If you cancel with less than 45 days but more than 15 says notice, you will be charged for materials received plus 50% of the class tuition. If you cancel with less than 15 days’ notice, no refund will be issued.
For Hybrid Classes: Once you enroll in a hybrid class, you have access to all of the information in that course of instruction. The courses are also divided into two modules; online and hands on, and for refunds we split the tuition evenly between the two. Refunds for the hands-on module will be handled the same as the policy for traditional classes. Since intellectual
property cannot be “returned” to us, refunds for the online module will be calculated in accordance with the percentage of
the course completed as calculated by the Learning Management System (LMS) if requested within 3 days of enrollment. After 3 days, no refunds will be issued for the online module, regardless of percentage completed.
